These artistic tealights from Lanzfeld, are applied with a beautiful print from Maria Sibylla Merian (1647-1717). Maria was a German artist and botanist who specialized in drawing and painting insects and floral compositions.

She was among the first scientists to systematically consider insects and explore their way of life. Her enormous significance for both the world of art and science is today honored with, among others, the Maria Sibylla Merian Prize and the company of the same name.
